September 25, 2008, Department of... Justice?
Another GTMO prosecutor quit, this one over the "war crimes" prosecution of Afghan national Mohammed Jawad (for throwing a grenade in combat... that's a "war crime"?) The reason: the prosecutor acknowledged that the prosecution deliberately withheld potentially exculpatory evidence from the defense.
Another day... another abuse of justice... for those who might have forgotten that GTMO was there... it's still there...

I was really thrilled by this news. I was at a forum with Ann Wright yesterday afternoon and she mentioned this resignation to the audience. She co-wrote Dissent, which is a study of people who have taken similar action, herself included, so it's right up her alley. I'm not close to this issue like you are so I have the luxury of being elated by what is probably a small thing in the whole scheme of things. If someone would finance a speaking tour for people who do things like this, I think their stories - which aren't all rainbows and lollipops - would make people realize that there are things left for us to do. We need to be inspired instead of terrified.
