It looks like the post-war WMD snipe hunt conducted by David Kay and some 1400 inspectors has put forth a preliminary report... wait for it... showing no evidence of WMD's, WMD production or delivery systems. Some evidence of WMD systems "on computer drives", but long time readers will know that I once gave you links to nuclear bomb plans. In short... plllleeeease.

I hope this puts the issue to rest: there are no WMDs in Iraq. They were destroyed around ten years ago. Maybe Saddam Hussein's misdirection designed to deter would-be coup attempts or foreign invasions by his gambit of pretending to have WMDs was so effective, it fooled us into believing it. A more likely explanation is that we were delighted to believe it-- it gave us the necessary excuse to remove Saddam Hussein's regime for whatever the real reasons are or were (the best we can do is speculate; unless one is willing to give the Bush Administration no credit for anything, one must reject the WMD or terrorist links, as the complete lack of evidence now clearly indicates the Administration knew this ahead of time. Either that, or they are far stupider than anyone ever thought, and I don't think they are.)

Yes, heard WMD search by D.Kay was dismal failure, but you would never know it by the comments in Senate Hearing with Rummy, Franks and the accounting whiz with a "Z" name. That really nails it down, huh? Never can remember his name, but he lies just as well as Rummy and Wolfy.

Rummy said in that hearing re $87B that we would wait until report from David Kay was finished. HA! Had already heard it was done and published and buried by Admin.

When Byrd (ha, he is a trip) called Rummy on some previous statements that led up to the war and the fact that they were lies or misrepresentations, Rummy denied it and read a statement from that particular day. Now I know damn good and well we (Americans) did not just make up the crap we believed they told us.

How can we just sit by and let these sleeze bags continue to lie like rugs cemented to the floor?

Bush's speech was so condescending and embarrassing. No wonder the world is thumbing nose at U.S.

I don't know about anyone else, but I want to know where all the $$ from frozen assets and the "found $$$" in Iraq, as well as what we have already sent in appropriations ... well... what did they do with that money?

Inspectors found WMD as recently as 1998.

If they were in fact destroyed, they were destroyed after the inspectors left. That makes no sense, so do you have any other ideas as to where the WMD went?
