A lot of people think Al Sharpton will do well in South Carolina, evidently; almost as many think he will win as think John Edwards would win. Its amusing in its own way. Maybe they're right; a strong Sharpton showing would still not justify Terry McAuliffe's diminishing of the other candidates by keeping Sharpton and Kucinich in the debates, of course.
Of course, if Kerry wins South Carolina, he pretty much sews up the nomination. If Sharpton wins it... well, I wasn't prepared for that contingency!
