the talking dog

March 16, 2004, Its an election year...

As such, in an election year usually, the government in power has planned various stimulative measures timed to kick in just in time so that people have a warm and fuzzy feeling that they are in existential good stead going into the election. AS such, usually, jobs and wage income rises in such a period. In the Kapitalist Kleptocracy that is Bush II, as we say here in Brooklyn, fuhgeddaboutit.

The jobless and recoveryless recovery blazes on, as pretty much all people without their heads up their ass (or their noses up the Bush Administration's ass) realize that we're pretty much riding an economic Titanic that has been deliberately steered toward an iceberg (and the helmsman seems to have a death-grip on the rudder). Consumer borrowing is at an all time high, interest rates historically (and unsustainably) low because deficits (trade and national budget) at all time highs, joblessness the highest in a long time, real wages stable or declining... even the stock market has not recovered, despite numerous gimmicks to drive it up. In short, it is inconceivable to think that this President has a snowball's chance in Nicaragua of being reelected. Oh, wait a minute...

There is ONE thing the President feels he can deliver that will make the foregoing utterly irrelevant (in the dozen or so states that matter, anyway): OBL's head (and the demonstration that only this "War President" can save us from our favorite bogeyman).

Thus, it comes as no surprise to me to hear that our Pakistani surrogates are already hard at work commencing the military precursor to allow a respectable length of "border fights" to take place before American forces can arrive and swoop up OBL on... April 19th or 20th... (as the final assault will take place the night of April 19th, we can't be sure at this time which day OBL will be picked up). We won't ask questions about why it took over 2 1/2 years from 9-11-01 to do his, or why we devoted 10-20 times the deployment to battle irrelevant Iraq, rather than pursue OBL. No, no, no... like a Bush press conference-- no questions will be asked.

American forces are, of course, planning a Spring offensive there- but don't think for a minute that we will increase our 11,000 man troop deployment against the actual terrorist who we credit with planning and executing the events of 11 September 2001; hell, that might be construed as some kind of a pinko liberal jobs program that only a Washington insider like John Kerry could think of doing.

The French confirmed today that several times they were close to catching OBL.
But then he set off a firecracker, and they scurried into Saddam's hole.
HoHoHo. By Saddam's hole, I don't mean.....oh wait, yes I do.

If you could get over your obsession with anuses, you "man on dog" cretin, you'd realize your title is spelled S-E-N-A-T-O-R, not S-E-N-O-R.

Interest rates may be at an all-time low unless you've had credit problems with one credit card. Then the interest rate for ALL your credit cards goes up to 28% thereby making it nearly impossible to catch up and what you do pay nearly all interest and the credit card company raking it all in as profit. Sounds like a Bush plan for prosperity.

I am in a moral quandry.
My friend searches for http://detectives.any1in.us/foster.html foster on google to screen potential roommates.
He found any1in.us , but did not visit.
I, on the other hand, searched for http://www.any1in.us/spybots.html spybots and found any1in.us.
I went there and found that http://cheating.any1in.us/dectective.html dectective were easier to find than on google.
Should I tell him that his potential roommate is a http://www.any1in.us/ispynow.html ispynow ?

Excellent, let me know how it works. I'll add methods for retrieving the rest of your collection too (not just the currently reading and favorite books) as well, so that might be a better option than creating xml feeds for each of these things.
