Dick Cheney blasts an "irresponsible media" for its insistence on reporting the truth-- i.e., that Bush and Cheney-- ESPECIALLY Cheney-- juxtaposed 9-11 and Saddam Hussein to deliberately create the dire impression that Saddam was cooperating in the imminent planning of major terrorist attacks against the United States. Cheney insists now that they should have LISTENED CAREFULLY to all of the legal disclaimers he tossed in under his breath when he made this statements.
Well, Dick: GO FUCK YOURSELF. Anyone who isn't already a firm believer (and that's too God damned many people) has to go back and now say "we've been snookered". It would be o.k. to say "we made a mistake-- but our job is to err on the side of safety". But these bastards are infallible you see-- as people on a mission from God Himself must be. Dick-- congratulations. You have now graduated from the Bill Clinton school of parsing, piercing and perjuring. Again, Dick, I think I join all Americans in wishing you a hearty "Go fuck yourself."

I should have just left the last set of caps... for emphasis... I typed it this morning, and my computer didn't let me edit anything after the first run; usually I would have edited the caps to italics... but there you go.
And you're exactly right: Cheney made no effort to "correct" the media back when they were misconstruing his words to justify the war... only now that they are correctly construign his words to prove him a bald-faced (and bald) liar-- so this is what we could call a not so veiled warning shot, i.e. I didn't get a harumph out of you-- watch your ass.

TD...The last set of caps was entirely appropriate, necessary and quite entertaining as well! Mr. C....I confess Mr. A and I discussed that very scenario today...Cheney goes down in PlameGate and McCain comes in as VP...I shudder to think of the outcome of that combo, but it has crossed my cynical mind, especially as McCain starts to campaign for the Boy King (today's intro of Bush to the troops was nauseating). TD...say it ain't so! Oh, BTW....Have a good weekend.

Iragis? I'm confused? Who are the Iragis? I guess maybe the "g" key and the "q" key look alike in the dim light of one's parents' basement.
The wildcard for Bush-veep as I see it could certainly be McCain (who really must hate Bush at a personal level-- hey George, don't ask John about the kids), or perhaps St. Rudy of Giuliani. The bench gets pretty thin after that.
My answer to the issue of whether Cheney will be dumped comes down pretty much to two words: get real! Cheney's not going anywhere, barring that massive heart attack we've been expecting him to have any minute for years now.
While Rudy seems to be the team player, and best spokesman they have (all while racking up millions in "consulting fees"), I don't think he IS a team player on the Bush scale. And McCain is a wild-man; DEFINITELY not a team player on the Bush scale. In my view, if he's going to dump Cheney (and he isn't), I'd go with Colin Powell... it works at a number of levels, and Colin, strangely, still has SOME modicum of credibility left, certainly compared to the rest of his friends.
LOL. Barring an incapacitating illness, its Bush-Cheney 2004. For God's sake-- they have no intention of printing new bumper stickers, buttons and tee-shirts.

Back when he was a federal prosecutor, Giuliani rolled over on D'Amato for trying to fix the prosecution of a mob figure after D'Amato started trying to groom Giuliani for national politics. He is seriously unpopular in state politics.

I think Joe S. is onto something.
Al Qaeda's numbers are down via death, "disappearance" and arrest. Clinton did very little to reduce its numbers. Certainly, there were things that Clinton could do, such as coordinate anti-terrorism efforts among the FBI, CIA and other federal, state and local agencies. If he was stymied by the Republicans, he could have gone directly to the people.
He didn't do all he could, and it seems he didn't do too much.
I didn't realize Kerry was into man on man prison sex. Thank you Joe S. for bringing that to our attention.
Say what you want about Joe S. You still gotta like a guy with passion.
Besides, the site can use it.

Why, I almost spilled my latte when I read that horrid little man's diatribe. I had to go for a long drive in my Honda Hybrid to calm down. Heavens, I think I have the vapors.
Look, sweetheart, Iraqis hadn't done anything bad to the US until the invasion. There was no connection between Iraq and terrorism before the invasion. That was the point of TG's article, really (well, that and the fact that Cheney is lying about it again, but I don't find that insightful--Cheney lies about everything). Anyway, get a grip, relax, switch to decaf, hug your gonads (I would suggest you hug your children, but I think people as excitable as you might have trouble getting someone to stick around and help you reproduce, if you know what I mean), and see if youc an get yourself a good night's sleep. You'll feel better in the morning.
Then go find out the truth, that liberals are all around you and we're just like anyone else except we may have differences of opinion over the Idiot in Chief and his policies.
